I'm sure I've mentioned my lack of a green thumb before. Well, if anyone recalls my Mother's Day blog about the totally awesome ice-cube orchids I received as a gift, and has a soft spot for anything green and growing, you might want to sit down before viewing this blog post.
Because I'm pretty sure it can't be good to go from this...

to this, in only one day. Seriously, one day!

OH NO!! Those poor flowers. They looked so pretty with the pot, too!
Poor, poor orchid. They do not like to be in temps. over 85 degrees F. Here is a link to a care article. I know you are crying. Maybe hubby will buy you another one. http://houseplants.about.com/od/growingorchidsinside/a/Orchidshouse.htm

OMG! Poor flowers. They were once so pretty! LOL
Thats too bad but I can relate! I have a black thumb too. G.I. Joe has to take care of our plants!
BWA HA HA HA! That looks like my tomato plant I tried to grow on the deck this year! I too, love the idea of gardening, etc. but fail miserably at keeping much else besides my kids alive. Good thing kids are resilient.....
Holly, I had the same orchid and it was beautiful for weeks with just 3 icecubes once a week. Then one day one fell from the stem. I thought perhaps I bumped it or somebody else did; but then within three days they all fell. I have a friend who has one and when her flowers fell off she just set it aside for a few months and it started blooming again. We'll see.
