Stories about travel, life, writing and parenting my college-age children (who think they don't need any more parenting). Oh! And the occasional amazing photograph (I like to play pro photographer on vacations.)
Quote of the Week
"Good writing is supposed to evoke sensation in the reader- not the fact that it is raining, but the feeling of being rained upon."
Great quote, Holly. I'm writing a scene with my American heroine seeing Munich for the first time. But I don't want to describe Munich - I want the reader to feel how Munich is, but I'm struggling with it. This writing stuff is not such a piece of cake!
I saw this quote in the restroom of my Yoga class that I thought you'd like - "Sometimes the only means of transportation available to you is a leap of faith." - Mary Shepherd. It really touched me, especially as a new writer, not knowing if anything will come of all this writing! ;-)

I love it. Funny, too. I just wrote a scene involving rain.

Happy writing and momming, Holly!
